End of season

Every year I know when fall comes when I see swallows gathering to leave.
Today, on my way to work I saw swallows drying their feathers from the heavy rain .
I thought, the season ends, they're leaving.
They know they have to.

I wish I could say the same about myself.
Even though my season in this town feels like it has to end just like the summer,
I have a hard time leaving my birthplace (again) and move to the city.
If only I was a swallow...

Do you have a hard time when you leave things behind?
Any trick to make it easier? I beg you!

PS. Swallows leave their nest in the fall, wander around the world and return in the spring in that same nest to lay their eggs. Just a last thought to ponder on...

  1. I'm no help, just to let things come to you when the time is right.

  2. Hard to say but good to be out of your comfort zone at times. Embrace the challenge and you may be surprised! I felt a bit like this when I decided to go travelling. I had enough money saved that could have been a deposit to buy a flat. I still don't own my own home but so glad i just took the plunge and went for it! xxxx
