Bake & Taste Greek event

This posting is dedicated to the Bake & Taste Greek event hosted in my blog in April in which you had to choose one of the six Greek recipes I had posted, bake it, taste it and write a posting about it.
The idea came from you actually, seeing how enthusiastic you were whenever I posted Greek recipes. To tell you the truth, I didn't expect that extent of participation- all of the suggested recipes were tried and tasted!

I was so happy to see that wonderful people whom I have never met were so eager to actually bake my recipes! I was even more thrilled to see that you were so creative and had the chance to get playful! There were some great tutorials, clever twists and wonderful presentations to each and every posting! I was also touched to see that recipes that go back to my grandma and my mum were baked all over the world and their sweet smell filled corners of the world they would never even imagine...
I really hope that you will keep them in your everyday menu and you and your families can enjoy a taste of Greece now and then.
Now, let's see all these creative entries:

Simone from Linden Grove baked Tyropita  with a twist of her own! Read all about it here.

Julie from  Home Jules baked Galatopita with two twists! Read about her two versions of Galatopita here.

Amanda from Graham's Landing baked koulourakia. Read her delightful posting here.

Amanda  was in a mood for more baking, so, she also gave Fanouropita a try! Read about her second entry here.

Ivan from A Normady Kitchen was adventurous enough to  leave aside his own great recipes for a day and go Greek! Read how he madetyropitakia here
Paula from Homemade Life baked koulourakia for her son. She said it was easy! This is her lovely posting

Paula, Ivan, Amanda, Greentumb, Julie, and Simone,

Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ!
Thank you very much!

Μaybe one day we will sit on a table and enjoy a Greek meal together!

So far

Just a quick posting to say a big thanks to the friends who have already posted their entries for the BAKE & TASTE GREEK event. I was out all day long and when I came home I found a wonderful surprise online: three new entries that made me really happy! I hope there'll be more until the deadline on the 25th!
I'm leaving you with a photo I took on Sunday. I'll tell you all about in the next posting.

Happy Tuesday!

Bake & Taste Greek Blog Event!

For those of you who've been reading my postings, you have surely noticed how much I like cooking. As for me, I've seen through your enthusiastic comments that you particularly enjoy my Greek cuisine recipes. So, it occured to me: how would you like to participate in a Greek cousine blogging event this April, called Bake & Taste Greek?
The idea is simple:
1. choose one of the six Greek baking recipes I have posted
2. bake it
3. share the outcomes in one of your postings by April 25th
I even made a logo for the participants to add on their blog, just to make the event more playful! Do you like it?
Of course the event is open to everyone! New readers are always welcome!
The recipes require simple ingredients, wereas the process is often described with step by step photos. Most of them are quite versitile ,as you can see at the tips I'm offering at the end of some of them, so feel free to get as creative as you want!
