Today it was hot. Really hot. So hot it was impossible to work at school. The kids were excited because of the weather, couldn't concentrate at all, while the classrooms were intolerable due to the heat, especially the ones overlooking the sun. Outside, the recess was awful, as we could hardly breath. No breeze at all to save us.
So, immediately after school I decided to head to the sea, as I'm sure many of the pupils did, too. But before that, I decided to enjoy something I hadn't enjoyed for a long time:
Greek style coffee! That it, Greek coffee, slowly brewed and my mum's preserved fruit.
Just perfect before the swim in that sea!
And for those of you that might felt a bit jealous of my relaxed afternnon, I can assure you that my evening continued in the opposite direction! I can't even list the things I've done and have to do before I eventually go to bed and call it a night!
Wishing you all a perfect weekend, summery, or not!

I hate days when it's hot like that a least you got down to the beach.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and sooting the sea looks. It must be so invigorating to be recharged by swimming in it so often. No wonder you can get lots done in the night!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying catching up here. Happy to see you posting.
