A splash of colour

My garden is at its worst during winter. Empty.
I repeatedly try to seed herbs in vain. It's so wet and shady that nothing can grow, apart from rocket.Even parsley has trouble finding its way through!

So, the only alive habitants are the orange and lemon trees. By contrast to the other plants, they're at their best.

They give a splash of colour to the grey days of winter and glow under the sun!

This is the best tree in the garden. It bears both oranges and lemons!

I took the photos a while ago, the moment I opened the windows and saw this wonderful morning sun peeking right through them.

A post dedicated to the readers who liked my orange photos on the Scavenger Hunt post.

Remember to take part in my TWO GIVEAWAYS!

HAVE A LOVELY SUNDAY WITH A GOOD SPLASH OF COLOUR

  1. Thank you for sharing photos of your lovely garden! How wonderful to be able to go into your garden and pick a fresh orange or lemon off the tree. I would love to be able to do that. I would be eating oranges every day!!!

  2. I will be there in spirit if not in body!!! The colours of the oranges and lemons are so uplifting on a grey February day. The lemon and orange tree must be the best tree to have! I would love to see more photos of your garden throughout the year and I can then imagine I was there!!!

  3. I think the citrus is MORE than a fair trade for not being able to grow anything else this time of year!

  4. How wonderful to have oranges and lemons on the same tree lucky you, I have a lemonade tree and I squeeze the juice and grate the rind and freeze them so I can enjoy when it is no longer in season. Greenthumb.

    1. I'm so sorry you've been having a rough time! However, a garden can't just make things go away, I'm afraid!Good to see you here again!

  6. Oh, I think I will have to get a lemon tree! I love the splash of yellow in your garden. Here it is gray, brown and dull as anything. But we can't complain as we've had a very mild winter with no snow at all.

I hope you are well and have a beautiful week ahead, my dear!
