For those of you who've been reading my postings, you have surely noticed how much I like cooking. As for me, I've seen through your enthusiastic comments that you particularly enjoy my Greek cuisine recipes. So, it occured to me: how would you like to participate in a Greek cousine blogging event this April, called Bake & Taste Greek?
The idea is simple:
1. choose one of the six Greek baking recipes I have posted
2. bake it
3. share the outcomes in one of your postings by April 25th
I even made a logo for the participants to add on their blog, just to make the event more playful! Do you like it?Of course the event is open to everyone! New readers are always welcome!
The recipes require simple ingredients, wereas the process is often described with step by step photos. Most of them are quite versitile ,as you can see at the tips I'm offering at the end of some of them, so feel free to get as creative as you want!
These are the links:
Sweet bakes
Savoury bakes
When you have your posting ready, please send me a comment to let me know. Then, I will gather all postings in one, on Ferns at the Balcony by the end of April and I will add your links on this page under my header.
It would be nice to add the Bake & Taste Greek logo on the left or right side of your blog, linked to this posting (for future reference).
Here's what you can do to add it in the case you use blogger as I do: from the gadgets list,
choose the photo gadget and copy this link

here:
Then, copy this link
http://fernsatbalcony.blogspot.gr/2013/03/bake-taste-greek-cooking-event.html
here:
Then, save.
Otherwise, you could save the photo on your computer and add it as you would normally do when you add gadgets on your blog's side. I hope I helped a bit...
Feel free to spread the news to any foody bloggers you might know!
Looking forward to your entries!
Happy April everyone!

DeleteHello Rose, I found your lovely blog via the Scavenger hunt and have enjoyed reading through your old posts. So much so that I'm your newest follower. My Dad is a real Greekophile (he's teaching himself Greek) so I'm going to have a go at one of your recipes for him. Will let you know when I post about it. Julie x
ReplyDeleteHi Julie! I'm sure your dad will appreciate the effort then! Thank you!
DeleteThanks for the tutorial Rose. I've added the logo in my side panel now. The URL for your logo wouldn't work when I did my original post but the one you've given us to copy above does work. Thanks for helping. x
DeleteKalimera Rose Fern! I have posted my attempt of making Tyropita over at my blog. Unfortunately I do not have the technical ability to include the lovely logo you produced! I will add it when I can figure out how to do so! I hope you are having a lovely day.x
ReplyDeleteKalimera Simone! Such a wondeful surprise to see your comment just when I got back from a tiring day at school!!!!Thanks for entering!
DeleteThis sounds like such fun! I loved Simone's post about her Tyropita. Yummy! I have two rosemary plants on my windowsill (I don't live where they can grow outside all year long) and love using it in all sorts of recipes. I really want to try it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne! It's time to put that rosemary in use, then!
DeleteGosh - they all look so good. If I get chance (after the Easter holidays) I'll see if I can give it a go.
